It is almost here!!!

I don't know about you all, but this seems like it has been in the works for just about FOREVER.  All  I know is that after this, I see a VERY big and long vacation in my future.  So, the reunion is a week from Saturday.  Crazy, crazy.  I thought I would put out the schedule of what will be happening so you all can be informed.

5pm:  Festivities begin!  Arrive at Willow Creek Country Club dressed to impress.  No jeans please.  No kids cuz it's gonna get wild.....Anyway, arrive and mingle with your peeps, stake out your best table.  This will be outside weather permitting.  Go Summer!  Grab a drink from the Cash bar, look at our fabulous decor (thanks so much to Anjuli Ence, Jessica Thain, and Brittney Andrus (sorry about not including your new last names, you will always be 18 and single to me)) and memorabilia from our BHS days. 

6pm: Dinner will be served.  It is a most delicious Italian Buffet.  Check out the earlier blog post that has the full menu outlined.  The buffet will be out until around 7:30ish, so if you can't make it until later, that is just fine.

Around 6:45ish:  Announcements such as: the raffle prizes (yay!), slideshow from high school, and tributes to those that have passed away.

Around 7:30ish:  We have a fantastic DJ (Bless your soul, Jake Jensen for helping us out with this) that will be spinning (do DJ's still do that?  Or is it all computer.  Whatever its 2002 that night, so they can still spin) for us and we can just dance and party the night away like it's senior year again.  The rest of the evening can be partying, dancing, creating drunken scenes (we can only hope, fingers crossed), and catching up with friends and bragging about how awesome your life/job/children/body is to help other be completely envious of you. 

11pm:  This is the time that we have to be out, but obviously you are welcome to leave whenever you feel like.

Update on Brooke (Smith) and Wagner Pimentel

Hey Brighton 02!
I can't believe that it's been 10 years! Just a quick update in the life of Brooke (Smith) Pimentel-
Right out of high school I went to college and traveled around a bit- going to Africa and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, Hiked Machu Picchu in Peru, toured around Mexico and spent 3 weeks backpacking Costa Rica.


4 years ago I got hitched to my best friend, Wagner Pimentel, he's from Brazil. A year after we were married we moved down to Sao Paulo for a couple of years. I worked for a company writing a weight loss/nutrition program which we are now just about to launch in the USA. Last year I got pregnant and we moved back to Utah. Isaac was just born on Jan 22, and is the best thing that has happened to us!

It's almost time....

Brighton High School Party People!!!!  We are in the home stretch and let me tell you this- I postponed a trip to EUROPE for this reunion, so let's all show Sydney a little bit of love and show up for this shindig.....

Last night I had a dream that it was the reunion and barely anyone came and we were having it at this bar and everyone was staring at me to make it entertaining because NO ONE was talking.  So, I got on the mike and tried to get the crowd going and then I woke up and in set panic mode......again......le sigh....

Let me just tell you, if no one shows up, the DJ and I are going to have one good time and you all will be jealous.  And all of you partying in the parking lot will come and hang out with me and the DJ.  It'll be a blast, I swear. 

In order to have the deposit and all that jazz in, we will need you all to buy your tickets by early May.  We will give you the actual cut off date soon.  BUY YOUR TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!

Who wants to details??

Ok, kiddies.  Here is kind of the run down for what we are planning the night of the event.  Let me just tell you this frist and foremost- Things are subject to change, so DO NOT hold me to anything.  This is just what is rolling around in my little brain. 

Party starts at 5- you will check in and get a name tag (so that we all don't feel ridiculous for not remembering every single person from a decade ago) from 5 until 6.  Come dressed in your best so that you can make all your previous crushes so incredibly jealous that they didn't love you.  That's my plan.  Eat your heart out (insert random dude in math class here).

There will be a cash bar and my fingers are crossed that at least one person will get sloppy drunk and make a huge confession and shock the world of Brighton High.  Any volunteers?  If not, I will pretend to get sloppy drunk and make a huge scene.  I'm coming for you Paul Larsen!!!

Dinner will be served around 6 or 6:30.  We will eat and chat with our peeps.  We will be having the Italian Buffet.  So much food that everyone of you ladies (and a few men) will regret the choice of spanks for the evening. 

Following dinner, KC Kern (who is an angel by the way for doing all of this) will be showing us a technological surprise!  And also, he will be presenting the tributes of the people that have passed away, who are Rob Taylor, Jon Lertcher, Chris Christensen, Phillip Christensen, and Ivan Anderson.  If any of you have memories of them or pictures, please send them to bengals02@gmail.com so we can continue to put together their tributes.

After that, the party will begin!!!  We are working on getting a DJ (Jake Jensen is all over that.  You are a dream, Jake!) and the DJ will ONLY play music from 2002.  Ok, that is not true- it would be awful.  We will then dance the night away, catch up with people, get sloppy drunk (my fingers are crossed here.  It will really save us some money in the entertainment department if just one person would step up here), and just have a really good time. 

Any extra money that we have left over, will be spent on raffle prizes!  I am hoping to get an ipad 3 and calling out my own name no matter what.  Hope you all don't mind.
